Tips
-
Pair up the students and let them talk with each other first. Give them time to organise their thoughts before sharing in front of the whole class.
-
Teacher can be the role model to lead the sharing session at the first place. Teacher's sharing is to provide some examples that students can follow. They are more than welcome to join in the sharing at anytime.
-
Encouragement, praises and non-critical judgment are of most importance to motivate and reinforce students to share, no matter what the content is about.
-
It is absolutely fine if the students are passive in the sharing session. Don't push them to do something they don't want to since the aim of the session is to understand more of each other in order to build a positive relationship between students and teachers.
