Dr Martin Seligman
Martin Seligman, the father of positive psychology, has devoted his career to study the psychology of happiness, human flourishing and what makes life worth living since 1998. Its difference from traditional psychology would be that instead of focusing on people’s problems and how to deal with the problems directly, people shift their focus on positive attributes, and the strengths and virtues they display that make up the quality of life. Positive psychology offers the chance to help find the inner strengths of a person focusing more on proactive steps to use their own abilities to prosper in society.
